I'm not much of an "online reviewer", we usually still do that with our referrals in small cities, but here's to French and Taffy and lots of great people who have served up the very FINEST in cuisine, service and hospitality over their 24 + years. The Bay Leaf will most definitely be remembered and missed by us Spearfish area locals.
We come here frequently, the food is unique and very delicious. Spearfish is a fortunate town, in my opinion Guy Ferrio from "Diners, Drive in and Dives" needs to visit! Or should he? My wife had the special, chicken artichoke and i had the lamb gyro yummy as always! They offer local artist to display and sell. The staff is very friendly ! P.S. The music is wonderful, not country :)
This is a really nice little place to go for a good meal. Probably not the best place for family's with little children. It's perfect for going to enjoy one another's company without much for distraction. Some local art can be found hanging around. Very nice staff from my experiences going there. What you pay for your meal is worth the quality that is received. A good selection for wine as well as some local craft beer. Again a nice little place for a nice meal and enjoy some nice company without much for distractions.
Best restaurant in Spearfish. Locally owned. Great tasting food at a reasonable price. Sad to see it go.
Wife had an amazing black bean burger and I have a great elk burger. Service was great and food was good. The atmosphere reminded me of a coffee house.
